Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Balloon Woman at Zoo - Central Park by Millard Owen Sheets for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,403.21). This price was achieved in the auction American Art Online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Millard Owen Sheets have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wild Horses of The Camargue in April last year with an auction result of USD 28,050.00 (€ 26,620.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Balloon Woman at Zoo - Central Park von Millard Owen Sheets für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.403,21) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art Online bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Millard Owen Sheets auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wild Horses of The Camargue im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.050,00 (€ 26.620,48).
