In August 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Portrait of the WestThe Diane and Sam Stewart Collection, which included the work Aspen by Millard Owen Sheets. The »bidding war« ended at USD 15,300.00 (€ 12,966.10), 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Millard Owen Sheets - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wild Horses of The Camargue, which sold at auction in April last year for USD 28,050.00 (€ 26,620.48).

Im August 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Portrait of the WestThe Diane and Sam Stewart Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Aspen von Millard Owen Sheets zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 15.300,00 (€ 12.966,10) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Millard Owen Sheets mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wild Horses of The Camargue beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für USD 28.050,00 (€ 26.620,48) versteigert wurde.
