The work New Utopias #1 by Miles Aldridge was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in September 2018. The auction ended at the price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,738.77), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Miles Aldridge - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Home Works #3', 2008, which sold at auction in May 2015 for GBP 14,375.00 (€ 19,986.92).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit New Utopias #1 von Miles Aldridge wurde im September 2018 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.738,77) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Miles Aldridge mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Home Works #3', 2008 beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für GBP 14.375,00 (€ 19.986,92) versteigert wurde.
