Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Still Life With Flowers And A Green Vase by Mildred Bendall was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in November 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 960.00 (€ 1,425.63). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mildred Bendall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Trawler, which sold at auction in March 2015 for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,530.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Still Life With Flowers And A Green Vase von Mildred Bendall im November 2006 bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 960,00 (€ 1.425,63) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Mildred Bendall mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Trawler beobachtet, die im März 2015 für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.530,21) versteigert wurde.
