In June 2011 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art, which included the work My Garden: The Gate From The Herbaceous Garden, Kilmurry, County Kilkenny by Mildred Anne Butler. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 8,988.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mildred Anne Butler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Garden Cart, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,317.62).
