Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Where The Grass Grows Green by Mildred Anne Butler was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2010. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,716.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mildred Anne Butler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Garden Cart, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,317.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Where The Grass Grows Green von Mildred Anne Butler kam im Mai 2010 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.716,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mildred Anne Butler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Garden Cart beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 24.000,00 (€ 35.317,62) versteigert wurde.
