Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art Online, which included the work Nine-Tenths of the Law by Miguel Padura. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,508.03), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Miguel Padura - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Alcatraces, which sold at auction in May 2010 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 22,233.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nine-Tenths of the Law von Miguel Padura zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.508,03) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Miguel Padura mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Alcatraces beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 22.233,00) versteigert wurde.
