Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Miguel Padura could be acquired at Christies in New York in June 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Interiors auction, the work Act of Defiance changed hands for USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,460.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Miguel Padura achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alcatraces in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 22,233.00).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Miguel Padura konnte im Juni 2014 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Act of Defiance für USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.460,92) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Miguel Padura erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alcatraces im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 22.233,00).
