The work A Kneeling Balinese Woman by Miguel Covarrubias was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in May last year. It achieved a price of HKD 94,500.00 (€ 11,219.18), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Miguel Covarrubias achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Preparation Of A Balinese Ceremony in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 8,440,000.00 (€ 868,922.59).

Die Arbeit A Kneeling Balinese Woman von Miguel Covarrubias kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 94.500,00 (€ 11.219,18) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Miguel Covarrubias erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In Preparation Of A Balinese Ceremony im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.440.000,00 (€ 868.922,59).
