Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2014 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Estudio para Río Magdalena by Miguel Ángel Ríos. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,956.74), 16% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Miguel Ángel Ríos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sudamérica, which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 14,100.00 (€ 16,676.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2014 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit Estudio para Río Magdalena von Miguel Ángel Ríos zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.956,74) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Miguel Ángel Ríos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sudamérica beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für USD 14.100,00 (€ 16.676,52) versteigert wurde.
