Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Seven prints depicting ladies in different months of the year, each from the series Bijin junishi Twelve kinds of beauties, published 1901, each framed and glazed by Migita Toshihide for GBP 312.50 (€ 365.36). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Migita Toshihide have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Unknown in July 2005 with an auction result of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,610.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Seven prints depicting ladies in different months of the year, each from the series Bijin junishi Twelve kinds of beauties, published 1901, each framed and glazed von Migita Toshihide für GBP 312,50 (€ 365,36) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Migita Toshihide auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Unknown im Juli 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.610,88).
