Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Syd Barrett on car by Mick Rock was auctioned at Phillips in London in November 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,231.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Mick Rock have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work David Bowie - Saxophone Session in October 2013 with an auction result of USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,976.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Syd Barrett on car von Mick Rock kam im November 2009 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.231,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mick Rock auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit David Bowie - Saxophone Session im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.976,90).
