Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cleopatra by Michele Tosini was sold in the Old Masters Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 162,500.00 (€ 182,198.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michele Tosini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a man, seated, with his dog, which sold at auction in July 2021 for GBP 474,800.00 (€ 556,801.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cleopatra von Michele Tosini wurde im Juli 2018 in der Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 162.500,00 (€ 182.198,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Michele Tosini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a man, seated, with his dog beobachtet, die im Juli 2021 für GBP 474.800,00 (€ 556.801,45) versteigert wurde.
