Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work 24 Heures Du Mans, 1962 by Michel Beligond was worth GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,858.76) to a buyer in May 2011. This price was achieved in the auction Vintage Posters at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 800.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Michel Beligond; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot 24 H Du Mans, 1959 sold at auction in May 2011 with the realized price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,144.63).
