Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Untitled no. 3 from the series Love letters to Siri by Michaela Yearwood-Dan was worth HKD 2,540,000.00 (€ 297,408.02) to a buyer in March this year. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale at Phillips in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 600,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michaela Yearwood-Dan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Love me nots, which sold at auction in February this year for GBP 730,800.00 (€ 833,575.21).

Die Arbeit Untitled no. 3 from the series Love letters to Siri von Michaela Yearwood-Dan war einem Käufer im März diesen Jahres HKD 2.540.000,00 (€ 297.408,02) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 600.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Michaela Yearwood-Dan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Love me nots beobachtet, die im Februar diesen Jahres für GBP 730.800,00 (€ 833.575,21) versteigert wurde.
