Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Dresden 11 by Michael Wilkinson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,048.00 (€ 7,214.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Michael Wilkinson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2014 the work Wanted mirror 7 was auctioned for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,613.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dresden 11 von Michael Wilkinson zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.048,00 (€ 7.214,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Michael Wilkinson konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2014 die Arbeit Wanted mirror 7 für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.613,14) versteigert.
