Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Orwell Memorial I by Michael Sandle was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,635.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Michael Sandle have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2002 the work Drummer was auctioned for GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,705.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Orwell Memorial I von Michael Sandle kam im Juni 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.057,50 (€ 1.635,71) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Michael Sandle konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2002 die Arbeit Drummer für GBP 1.762,50 (€ 2.705,53) versteigert.
