A top price for Michael Light - as previously expected
The work Composite of Harrison Schmitt and the Lunar Rover at "Split Rock", Photographed by Eugene Cernan, Apollo 17, December 7-19, 1972 from Full Moon by Michael Light was sold in the PHOTOGRAPHS auction at Phillips in London in November 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,375.00 (€ 4,033.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Composite of Harrison Schmitt and the Lunar Rover at "Split Rock", Photographed by Eugene Cernan, Apollo 17, December 7-19, 1972 from Full Moon is the most expensive artwork by Michael Light that we have observed at auctions so far.
