Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now: The Katayama Collection, which included the work Alan Bean at Sharp Crater with the Hand Tool Carrier; Photographed by Charles Conrad, Apollo 12, November 14-24, 1969, from the project Full Moon by Michael Light. The price achieved of USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,163.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Light - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composite of Harrison Schmitt and the Lunar Rover at "Split Rock", Photographed by Eugene Cernan, Apollo 17, December 7-19, 1972 from Full Moon, which sold at auction in November 2010 for GBP 3,375.00 (€ 4,033.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now: The Katayama Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Alan Bean at Sharp Crater with the Hand Tool Carrier; Photographed by Charles Conrad, Apollo 12, November 14-24, 1969, from the project Full Moon von Michael Light zur Versteigerung kam.
