Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Mr. Salvador Salvador by Michael Lau was sold in the Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2021. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 151,200.00 (€ 16,424.24). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Lau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tolerant (Package - Change Series) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 252,000.00 (€ 257,341.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mr. Salvador Salvador von Michael Lau wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 151.200,00 (€ 16.424,24) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Lau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tolerant (Package - Change Series) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 252.000,00 (€ 257.341,30).
