Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December last year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work 6" JORDON – 6 inches urban vinyl series by Michael Lau. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 102,000.00 (€ 12,223.22). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Lau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tolerant (Package - Change Series) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 252,000.00 (€ 257,341.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 6" JORDON – 6 inches urban vinyl series von Michael Lau zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 102.000,00 (€ 12.223,22) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Lau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tolerant (Package - Change Series) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 252.000,00 (€ 257.341,30).
