Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jordon by Michael Lau was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia: Kid at heART auction at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2020. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,357.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Lau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tolerant (Package - Change Series) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 252,000.00 (€ 257,341.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jordon von Michael Lau wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Kid at heART bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.357,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Lau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tolerant (Package - Change Series) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 252.000,00 (€ 257.341,30).
