Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Honest (Package – Change Series 03) by Michael Lau was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in December 2020. The price achieved of HKD 201,600.00 (€ 21,264.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 160,000.00 – 240,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Lau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tolerant (Package - Change Series) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 252,000.00 (€ 257,341.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Honest (Package – Change Series 03) von Michael Lau wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 201.600,00 (€ 21.264,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 160.000,00 – 240.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Lau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tolerant (Package - Change Series) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 252.000,00 (€ 257.341,30).
