Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Michael Krebber was sold in the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,500.00 (€ 28,948.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Michael Krebber have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled in October 2016 with an auction result of GBP 191,000.00 (€ 212,779.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Michael Krebber wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 28.948,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Krebber auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 191.000,00 (€ 212.779,78).
