Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Michael Kidner was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,400.00 (€ 8,020.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Kidner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Orange And White Painting, which sold at auction in June 2017 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,470.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Michael Kidner kam im Juli 2007 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.400,00 (€ 8.020,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Kidner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Orange And White Painting beobachtet, die im Juni 2017 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.470,34) versteigert wurde.
