Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Red by Michael Kidner was sold in the Outside In: The Dr. Jeffrey Sherwin Collection auction at Christies in London in November 2019. The price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,908.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Kidner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orange And White Painting in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,470.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Red von Michael Kidner wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Outside In: The Dr. Jeffrey Sherwin Collection bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.908,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Kidner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orange And White Painting im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.470,34).
