This artwork by Michael Kidner achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2010. In the Lehman Brothers: Artwork and Ephemera auction, the work Shredded Penrose II sold for GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,024.06) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Kidner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orange And White Painting in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,470.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Kidner erzielte im September 2010 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Lehman Brothers: Artwork and Ephemera wurde die Arbeit Shredded Penrose II für GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.024,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Kidner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orange And White Painting im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.470,34).
