It achieved a price of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,964.62), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Kidner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Orange And White Painting, which sold at auction in June 2017 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,470.34).

Die Arbeit Complement To Yellow von Michael Kidner kam im Juni 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.964,62) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Kidner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Orange And White Painting beobachtet, die im Juni 2017 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.470,34) versteigert wurde.
