Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sinai I by Michael Gross was sold in the 19th & 20th Century Art at the Hilton Hotel auction at Christies in Tel Aviv in April 2008. The price achieved of USD 37,000.00 (€ 23,766.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Gross - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in December 2011 for USD 104,500.00 (€ 80,551.92).

Die Arbeit Sinai I von Michael Gross wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion 19th & 20th Century Art at the Hilton Hotel bei Christies in Tel Aviv versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 37.000,00 (€ 23.766,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Gross mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für USD 104.500,00 (€ 80.551,92) versteigert wurde.
