The work Torso by Michael Gross was sold in the Israeli & International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2014. The auction ended at the price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,395.67), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Gross have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in December 2011 with an auction result of USD 104,500.00 (€ 80,551.92).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.395,67) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Gross auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 80.551,92).
