Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included the work Portrait by Michael Gross. It changed hands for a price of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,230.81) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Gross achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in December 2011 with an auction result of USD 104,500.00 (€ 80,551.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait von Michael Gross zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.230,81) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Gross erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 80.551,92).
