Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La Rencontre by Michael Farrell was sold in the Ireland / France: Art & Literature auction at Sothebys in Paris in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 15,120.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Farrell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Third Very Real Irish Political Picture, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 36,000.00 (€ 52,976.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit La Rencontre von Michael Farrell wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Ireland / France: Art & Literature bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 15.120,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Farrell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Third Very Real Irish Political Picture beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 36.000,00 (€ 52.976,44) versteigert wurde.
