Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work A village scene with a figure and chickens by Michael Farrell. The price achieved of GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,884.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Farrell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Third Very Real Irish Political Picture in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 36,000.00 (€ 52,976.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A village scene with a figure and chickens von Michael Farrell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.884,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Farrell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Third Very Real Irish Political Picture im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 36.000,00 (€ 52.976,44).
