In November 2016 Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Mermaid 18b, Weeki Wachee, Florida by Michael Dweck. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,447.30), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Michael Dweck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sonya, Poles (Montauk) in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 168,750.00 (€ 148,914.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im November 2016 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mermaid 18b, Weeki Wachee, Florida von Michael Dweck zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.447,30) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Dweck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sonya, Poles (Montauk) im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 168.750,00 (€ 148.914,58).
