Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work Wireless Mic, from Objects Of Our Time by Michael Craig-Martin for GBP 762.00 (€ 1,275.33). This price was achieved in the auction Evening & Day Editions at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Craig-Martin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work With Red Shoes in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 325,000.00 (€ 381,791.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2024 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Wireless Mic, from Objects Of Our Time von Michael Craig-Martin für GBP 762,00 (€ 1.275,33) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Craig-Martin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit With Red Shoes im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 325.000,00 (€ 381.791,28).
