Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Stars by Michaël Borremans was sold in the Remastered: Contemporary Art and Old Masters auction at Christies in London in July 2020. The price achieved of GBP 237,500.00 (€ 264,913.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michaël Borremans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Girl With Duck in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 2,045,000.00 (€ 2,860,444.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Stars von Michaël Borremans wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Remastered: Contemporary Art and Old Masters bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 237.500,00 (€ 264.913,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michaël Borremans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Girl With Duck im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.045.000,00 (€ 2.860.444,21).
