Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Stars by Michaël Borremans was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in June last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 337,331.93) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michaël Borremans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Girl With Duck in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 2,045,000.00 (€ 2,860,444.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Stars von Michaël Borremans kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 337.331,93) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michaël Borremans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Girl With Duck im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.045.000,00 (€ 2.860.444,21).
