Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wheelbarrow by Meschac Gaba was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,561.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Meschac Gaba achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Pavé Dans La Mère in May 2017 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,842.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wheelbarrow von Meschac Gaba kam im November 2020 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.561,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Meschac Gaba erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Pavé Dans La Mère im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.842,16).
