The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,782.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The sculpture gallery is the most expensive artwork by Mervyn Lawrence Peake that we have observed at auctions so far.
