Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
The work The Garden of Eden by Merab Abramishvili was worth GBP 50,400.00 (€ 56,301.29) to a buyer in December 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Russian Pictures at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Merab Abramishvili; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot 'Black Panther' sold at auction in July this year with the realized price of GBP 76,600.00 (€ 89,368.98).

Die Arbeit The Garden of Eden von Merab Abramishvili war einem Käufer im Dezember 2020 GBP 50.400,00 (€ 56.301,29) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Merab Abramishvili; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit 'Black Panther' im Juli diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 76.600,00 (€ 89.368,98).
