The work Man-Eater of Kumaon by Merab Abramishvili was worth GBP 44,100.00 (€ 49,263.63) to a buyer in December 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Russian Pictures at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Merab Abramishvili; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot 'Black Panther' sold at auction in July this year with the realized price of GBP 76,600.00 (€ 89,368.98).
