Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Merab Abramishvili achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2016. In the Contemporary East auction, the work Georgian leopard sold for GBP 26,250.00 (€ 31,508.57) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Merab Abramishvili - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Black Panther', which sold at auction in July this year for GBP 76,600.00 (€ 89,368.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Merab Abramishvili erzielte im Juni 2016 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary East wurde die Arbeit Georgian leopard für GBP 26.250,00 (€ 31.508,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Merab Abramishvili mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Black Panther' beobachtet, die im Juli diesen Jahres für GBP 76.600,00 (€ 89.368,98) versteigert wurde.
