Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Winter Storm, Isle Of Doagh by Melita Denaro. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,229.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Melita Denaro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Intimacy Of Solitude in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 14,861.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Winter Storm, Isle Of Doagh von Melita Denaro zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.229,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Melita Denaro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Intimacy Of Solitude im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 14.861,72).
