Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,171.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Melita Denaro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Intimacy Of Solitude, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 14,861.72).
