Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Venetia & I Painting Together Through The Storms by Melita Denaro was sold in the Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2019. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,871.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Melita Denaro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Intimacy Of Solitude, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 14,861.72).

Die Arbeit Venetia & I Painting Together Through The Storms von Melita Denaro wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.871,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Melita Denaro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Intimacy Of Solitude beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 14.861,72) versteigert wurde.
