This artwork by Melita Denaro achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2001. In the The Irish Sale, Part II, including the Studio Collection of auction, the work Landscape sold for GBP 822.50 (€ 1,378.94) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Melita Denaro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Intimacy Of Solitude in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 14,861.72).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Melita Denaro erzielte im Mai 2001 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Irish Sale, Part II, including the Studio Collection of wurde die Arbeit Landscape für GBP 822,50 (€ 1.378,94) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Melita Denaro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Intimacy Of Solitude im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 14.861,72).
