Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Phillips in 7 - held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction, New York, which included the work The English One by Melike Kara. The price achieved of USD 15,240.00 (€ 13,776.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Melike Kara - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tankstelle (mother), which sold at auction in September 2020 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 27,735.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Phillips in 7 - die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction, New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit The English One von Melike Kara zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.240,00 (€ 13.776,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Melike Kara mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tankstelle (mother) beobachtet, die im September 2020 für USD 32.500,00 (€ 27.735,11) versteigert wurde.
