A top price for Meiffren Conte - as previously expected
In May 2012 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & British Paintings, which included the work A silver incense burner and sideboard dish, a silver-gilt ewer and vase with nautilus shells, a sabre and a jewelry box on a ledge draped with a velvet curtain by Meiffren Conte. It changed hands for a price of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 34,263.79) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A silver incense burner and sideboard dish, a silver-gilt ewer and vase with nautilus shells, a sabre and a jewelry box on a ledge draped with a velvet curtain is the most expensive artwork by Meiffren Conte that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters & British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A silver incense burner and sideboard dish, a silver-gilt ewer and vase with nautilus shells, a sabre and a jewelry box on a ledge draped with a velvet curtain von Meiffren Conte zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 34.263,79) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist A silver incense burner and sideboard dish, a silver-gilt ewer and vase with nautilus shells, a sabre and a jewelry box on a ledge draped with a velvet curtain das teuerste Kunstwerk von Meiffren Conte, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
