The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 341,000.00 (€ 270,034.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Mei Qing have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2015 the work Scenes Of Mt. Huang was auctioned for HKD 3,440,000.00 (€ 401,883.72).
