Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscapes After Old Masters by Mei Qing was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. The price achieved of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 151,334.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,200,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mei Qing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Scenes Of Mt. Huang, which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 3,440,000.00 (€ 401,883.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscapes After Old Masters von Mei Qing kam im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 151.334,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.200.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mei Qing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Scenes Of Mt. Huang beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 3.440.000,00 (€ 401.883,72) versteigert wurde.
